KRALOVA

I am Zuzana Kralova, founder of ARTKA studio. My passion for art and fashion has been with me since childhood: I used to draw with both hands at the same time, and during my adolescence, I discovered the Muscovite Burdas in my grandmother’s tailor shop. My first garments were created during my Bachelor’s in Fashion in Prague.

After completing a Master of Arts in my home country and a Degree in Fashion Design at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Madrid, along with courses in Fashion Communication at Universidad Carlos III and Digital Printing at Central Saint Martins, I began my professional career in Madrid. There, I worked as Shoes & Bags Designer at CORTEFIEL, designed Swimwear and Bags for PEPE JEANS, and collaborated as a freelance designer for outdoor and sportswear brands.

Today, I lead ARTKA studio, based in San Juan, a creative space where innovation, collaboration, and experimentation are at the heart of everything we do. ARTKA is more than a studio: it is a multidisciplinary project where fashion, art, and technology converge, always working through ethical and sustainable processes.

Throughout my career, I have received several recognitions, including being a finalist for the National Award of the Czech Republic, TOP STYL DESIGNER, Styl KABO Brno Brilliance Fashion Talent, and a Special Prize for Innovation in emerging designer contests in Madrid. Winning the Telekom Deutsche Fashion Fusion Award in Berlin opened the door to fashion technology, allowing me to develop smart fabrics in collaboration with institutes like AITEX and CHEMNITZ.

At ARTKA studio, I continue exploring innovative ways of creating, integrating sustainable materials, responsible processes, and collaborations with creative talents. Every project is an opportunity to combine aesthetics, innovation, and sustainability, creating experiences where art and fashion expand together.
