JP5 concept is a project that reinterprets nautical sailcloth from a contemporary and sustainable perspective.
It is defined as a tribute to the sea, its beauty, and connection with nature.
Its aesthetic is reflected in shapes, textures, and colors, while its environmental commitment is evident in the incorporation of recycled materials as the core of all the brand’s products.
ARTKA has developed the art direction and design of the project, defining a clear and coherent visual identity aligned with the core values of JP5 concept: innovation, functionality, and eco–luxury.
As a conceptual brand, we work across different product designs using nautical sail as our core material. We have been fully involved in the concept and design of two sneaker collections for JP5 concept: BREZZA and SQUALO, both inspired by the sea and everything it embodies, while infused with a strong Italian essence.
Want to know about the materials we use?
Originally designed to withstand extreme conditions at sea, nautical sail is a high-performance technical material defined by resistance, lightness and durability. Each piece carries a unique visual identity and a story of movement. We give this material a second life, transforming it into contemporary premium products designed for everyday use.
Each sail is hand–painted, resulting in unique finishes that give every piece its own distinctive character and added value.
Key qualities: Extremely resistant and durable, lightweight and flexible, naturally water-resistant, technical aesthetic with unique textures and marking and each piece is inherently one of a kind.
SQUALO: the flagship
The Squalo is our flagship. Squalo represents power, precision, and flow. Like the shark that inspires it; it never still, always aware. It embodies the raw energy of the ocean and the refined edge of contemporary design. A symbol of strength in constant evolution.
